At Connection Mental Healthcare, your surroundings are part of your recovery. Our facility sits on the South African coast, with the ocean on your doorstep and a lush garden all around you. Every part of the facility is designed to help you slow down, feel safe and focus fully on getting better in small numbers, with personal attention and complete discretion, away from the pressures of daily life.
Ocean-view residence
Our residence overlooks the ocean, and the sea is never far from view. Not every room shares the same outlook; some look out over the ocean, others over the garden or the surrounding mountains, but the facility as a whole is orientated towards the water, so you are always close to it. Each room is spacious and has its own ensuite bathroom, giving you a calm, private space to retreat to between sessions.

Pool, meditation and gym
Staying active is part of feeling well, and our facility makes that easy. There is a fully equipped gym and a swimming pool set within our garden, surrounded by greenery and even turtles. Three guided sport sessions take place each week, and you also have an individual sport instructor who builds a personal plan around your own goals, whether that is cardio, building strength or losing weight. Beyond the scheduled sessions, the pool is open for everyone to use.
Recovery is not only physical. Alongside the gym and the pool, you have space for meditation and quiet moments to slow down, reconnect with yourself and ease the mental side of recovery. Together, the pool, the gym and meditation give you a daily balance between moving your body and calming your mind.
Seaside therapy
Here, recovery happens by the sea. Your mornings can begin with a walk along the ocean, and each week there are dedicated seaside sessions that make the most of where we are. There is also a private tidal pool where you are welcome to swim. It is a calm, grounding time, and on a good day, you will regularly see dolphins passing by.
Fresh, nutritious food every day
Every breakfast, lunch and dinner is prepared fresh by our chefs, with a focus on highly nutritious meals, and there is a dessert every day. Breakfast might include toast, fresh orange juice, pancakes, eggs and fresh fruit. Lunch and dinner bring fresh pasta, chicken, fish straight from the sea and seasonal salads. Eating well is a simple, daily part of feeling better at Connection Mental Healthcare.
Our garden
Our lush garden is full of quiet corners to disappear into. You can sit by the pond home to small fish and turtles, rest under the trees, or watch the many birds that pass through. The garden is rich botanical with plants and flowers. It is the perfect place to read a book and unwind after your therapy hours.
